Chapter 4 is about intellectual property, copy right and patents. Although there are scenes like Dr. Kelvin burning his research papers before leaving for planet Solaris and people discussing great literature works in human history in the library of the station, they are beyond the scope of intellectual property and the movie also has little discussion upon invention of new technologies. And chapter 4 is not applicable to the movie.
